One Team that Understands Code, Clinics, and Scaling

We work with digital health teams who are serious about entering the NHS with a live product, real users, and funding behind them.

By combining ULAM LABS’ software and architecture team with RBIL’s NHS adoption and expansion expertise, you move faster from “interesting pilot” to sustainable NHS revenue instead of rebuilding every time you meet a new Trust.

What You Get

Outcomes you can expect:

Operational design and scaling

How your service should actually run across multiple Trusts and sites.

Architecture and technical readiness

Infrastructure, integrations, security and data flows that fit NHS constraints.

Strategic partnerships and routes to market

Who you need onside (clinicians, commissioners, partners) and how to engage them.

NHS navigation and reimbursement

Understanding the UK health system, routes to payment, and the evidence needed to unlock budget.

What the NHS‑Ready Audit Includes

A focused, joint audit to assess how prepared your product and organisation are for NHS deployment - technically and commercially.

You get a combined view from:

ULAM LABS (tech and product) – architecture and code review, security posture, integrations, infrastructure, and scalability, with NHS‑relevant requirements in mind.

RBIL (NHS adoption and strategy) – value proposition and business case development , structured clinical and operational engagement planning, and operational setup for implementation at scale.

Deliverables:

  • Joint workshop and review sessions with your core team.
  • Written audit report summarising findings across tech, product and commercial dimensions.
  • Prioritised recommendations and an implementation roadmap for becoming NHS‑ready.
  • Follow‑up call to align on next steps and where you may need support.

FAQ

An NHS‑Ready Audit is a structured assessment of your digital health product, architecture and go‑to‑market strategy to check if you are on track for NHS adoption. It is designed for digital health startups and scale‑ups that have an MVP or live product and plan to sell into the NHS in the next 6–24 months.

Most audits are completed within 2-3 weeks from the kick‑off call, assuming timely access to documentation and stakeholders. Deepaudits typically take 3-5 weeks, depending on the complexity of your product, integrations and organisational structure.

From technical side we usually ask for access to product documentation, architecture, and any existing clinical or commercial evidence. For some audits, we may also request read‑only access to your environment or code repository.

Yes. The audit explicitly looks at how your product and organisation line up with relevant NHS expectations, including DTAC criteria, data protection, security and hosting requirements. We highlight where you are already aligned and where changes are needed to support procurement and deployment conversations with NHS organisations.

Yes. After the audit, you can choose to work with us for implementation support. This can include a fractional CTO to guide your technical roadmap and team, a fractional COO to support NHS go‑to‑market and operations, and a dedicated development team to execute specific changes.
